A New Acting Vice Chancellor has been elected in Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
The new Vice-Chancellor is Prof A.U. Nnoyelu, who will take over from Prof. Ikechebelu stepping down to join the contest for the position of substantive Vice-Chancellor according to Ministry of Education guideline.
Prof Nonyelu defeated other contenders in a keenly contested election scoring 132 votes.
The acting Vice-Chancellor is an indigene of Awka and A Professor of Sociology and Anthropology in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
He is the 3rd acting Vice-Chancellor of the Institution within a space of one year.
