High Expectations as Jim Okolo Leads Foreign Observers To Anambra By-Elections on Saturday

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has accredited international election observation mission, Nouvelle Perspective to observe the Saturday, August 16, 2025 by-election in various states of the federation.

Voters will come out to vote for a new Senator for Anambra South senatorial district following the death of Ifeanyi Uba who passed away in office. Same applies to 15 other states where resignation of death of a lawmaker has taken place.

Meanwhile, officials of Nouvelle Perspective who have been accredited as international observers have received their kits and tags to proceed to take part in the Saturday election.

One of them is Alex Nwankwo who is also the Chief Media Correspondent of Nouvelle Perspective in Nigeria who was accredited along with the National Coordinator of Nouvelle Perspective, Dr. Jim Okolo, Sir Iroh Anthony Chukwuemeka, Mr Onyekwue Francis Nnadozie and Others

The organisation has been actively been involved in observing elections across Africa and other parts of the world.
