The Anambra State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with separate cases of defilement.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the suspects include Emmanuel Sampson, who allegedly lured an 8-year-old girl and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her, and ThankGod Damian, a security man who defiled a 13-year-old girl in an estate.

The police have secured medical evidence to prove the suspects’ culpability and are set to charge them to court on Wednesday, August 20th, 2025.

SP Ikenga emphasized the command’s commitment to ensuring justice for victims of sexual and gender-based violence.

He advised parents and guardians to remain vigilant and report suspected cases to the nearest police formation for immediate action.
