The League of Anambra Professionals (LAP), has reeled out projects the association will embark on towards the development of Anambra State.
The projects are scholarship scheme, economic summit, election observation and making a compendium of Anambra professionals worldwide.
Speaking during its meeting last Sunday held in Lagos, the President of LAP, Pharm Nnamdi Obi, noted that these projects will go along way in assisting Anambra indigenes.
Pharm Obi said that the education project aims to assist brilliant and indigent children of Anambra origin, promote education and holistic development.

He informed that LAP has floated a scholarship scheme called Future Forward Scholarship Programme to assist Anambra children achieve their dreams. Pharm Obi maintained that the education sector is very critical and needs collective effort by all stakeholders and not just government alone.
Pharm Obi lauded the tuition free policy of Governor Soludo.
On the economic summit proposal, Pharm Obi noted that the summit will foster economic growth and encourage Public Private Partnership in the State.
Noting the importance of the compendium of Anambra professionals worldwide, the LAP President observed that the project will help connect professionals across borders.
While informing that LAP has signified interest to be part of November 8 Governorship election as observers/monitors, Pharm Obi said that the association has plans to organize a debate for the candidates.
The President of LAP mentioned that the association decided to take up realizable, sustainable and feasible projects so as to address problems in the State. He called for support of Anambra professionals towards these projects.
Explaining the LAP’s Future Forward Scholarship Programme and its criteria for eligibility, the Deputy President of LAP, Dr Elizabeth Jibunoh, noted that children will be taken from the three senatorial zones of Anambra State, candidates will show credible performance in WAEC/JAMB exams, letter from parents confirming the potential of the child and must possess testimonial of good behaviour.
She said candidates will be taken from JSS1 to tertiary institution adding that candidates under the scholarship scheme will be trained holistically to come out as a well-rounded individual.
Dr Jibunoh informed that the programme will kick off in the first semester of 2025/2026 academic session and the application process will be online through Google form. Also, she said that deadline for the application is October 15,2025.
