Teva Foods, a leading agribusiness company, has announced plans to plant 200,000 fruit trees in the South East region of Nigeria over the next two years.

This is part of the company’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture and food security in the region.

According to Mr. Chima Christian, Co-founder and CEO of Teva Foods, “Africa will feed itself and the rest of the world. Ours is to plant the seeds of that future, and encourage others to do the same. Africa’s morning is at hand.”

Chima wrote”It is my pleasure to announce that I’ll be leading the Teva Foods delegation to Anambra and Enugu States this October. While in those two South Eastern states, we will be meeting with government officials, community associations, land owners, and a number of private sector operators.

“In addition to the greenhouse and openfield farm operations we are about to roll out in the South East, Teva Foods will be planting 200,000 fruit trees over the next two years. This particular visit to the East is the beginning of the conversations to make that happen.

While also in the South East, we will be touring selected Universities, secondary and primary schools with the singular goal of democratizing knowledge and inspiring the next generation of smart farmers”.
