Trinity College, Onitsha Wins National Girls STEM Competition

Trinity College, Onitsha has added another magnificent feather to its illustrious cap. The school emerged first among the finalists at the National Girls STEM Summit and Exhibition in Abuja! This remarkable feat crowns their creativity, teamwork, and brilliance, as they stood shoulder to shoulder with Regina Pacis International Secondary School to represent the South-East zone. Together, both schools have embodied the Archdiocese’s tradition of disciplined excellence and innovation. They have proven once again that when faith and intellect unite, the result is nothing short of inspiring.

This victory mirrors the culture of excellence nurtured by Archbishop Valerian Maduka Okeke, whose vision continues to transform the mission schools of Onitsha Archdiocese into centres of faith-driven excellence and splendour. Some recent feats that come to mind range from Christ the King College, Onitsha who were recently named Outstanding School of the Year in Africa 2024 to Mater Amabilis Secondary School, Umuoji who became national winners in entrepreneurship.

Queen of the Rosary College, Onitsha, also shone as 2nd best in the 2025 Africa Top Schools Awards; St John’s Science and Technical College, Alor, earned global recognition with a bronze medal at the International Festival of Engineering and Technology in Tunisia; and All Hallows Seminary, Onitsha, distinguished itself at the National Presidential Debate.

These collective triumphs tell a singular truth—that Archbishop Valerian Okeke’s legacy of holistic formation has taken deep root. In his visionary and transformative strides – well rooted in grace, he has raised schools where faith inspires excellence and excellence glorifies God.
