The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance – APGA, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, on Wednesday, marked his 41st birthday, in grand style in Awka, the Anambra State capital. The birthday festivities, which commenced with a Thanksgiving Mass at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Awka, was officiated by the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Lordship, Most Rev Paulinus Ezeokafor, from where the celebration moved to the Stanel Dome, Awka.

At the Thanksgiving Mass, a large number of political actors in Anambra State accompanied the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, and his family, to offer thanks to God for his blessings.

However, at the Stanel Dome, several hundred people were present, including serving government officials, APGA leaders, former government officials, businessmen, and different aspirants for various positions ahead of the 2027 General Elections. Notably, many attendees are of diverse political backgrounds, including members and leaders of various opposition political parties, signifying Ezeokenwa’s growing influence beyond the APGA fold.

Mr. Sly Ezeokenwa was elected the National Chairman of APGA in 2023 at the age of 38 years, with the support of Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo. Before then, Ezeokenwa served as the National Legal Adviser of the APGA, after he served as the party’s State Legal Adviser. The birthday on Wednesday evening gives a hint that, ahead of next year’s General Election, the APGA National Chairman is getting ready for his first litmus test. Politicians will besiege him with all manner of inducements and promises that he has never seen before. How he deals with that will be counted as his legacy in APGA, after his tenure.

Surrounded by his loving wife, his mother, friends, and associates, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa treated his guests to sumptuous delicacies to their satisfaction and more. Several accolades were paid to the National Chairman by people from diverse backgrounds, who commended his leadership.
