He said APC endless crisis had hindered his effective political participation at the centre.

He stated, “After careful reflection of activities, crisis, divisions, sidelined and poor leadership of the party from local government and the state levels, I have decided to step away from active participation in the party in order to pursue other commitments that align with my personal and political convictions in which I strongly believe I will get it through ADC under the Presidentship of Mr Peter Obi.

According to him, his defection was necessary for the ”betterments of all the people of the constituency I formerly represent, Anambra State, South East region and Nigeria as a whole,” while expressing gratitude for the opportunities and experiences gained during his time in the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA as Chief Whip of the State Assembly and the APC.

“I remain grateful for the opportunities and experiences I have gained while being a member of the above mentioned parties,” he said.

He urged the ward leadership to have full trust in the national leadership of ADC, Mr Peter Obi and himself ahead of the 2027 general election.

Anambra State has experienced political turbulence in recent years because of lack of connection to the center.
