Following his unanimous endorsement by Ihiala Political Stakeholders as their Consensus Candidate, Rt. Hon. Paschal Agbodike, Monday, picked his Expression of Interest Form to seek reelection for Ihiala Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after picking the form at APGA National Secretariat in Abuja, Rt. Hon. Paschal Agbodike, maintained that he was merely obeying the wishes of his constituents to consolidate on the achievements made in the last three years at the Green Chamber.
“The leaders of the whole zone came out to endorse me for a second time. That is why I am here today to pick up a form,” Agbodike said.
“They said, go to the party Secretariat of APGA, which is our party. Our party, the only party we know. Go and pick Expression of Interest Form.
“The party men and women from the constituency said they are standing behind me. That is should you go and pick up a form. That it is me and me they know for the House of Representatives, the Ihiala Federal Constituency. That is why I am here today. I am grateful to them.”
He expressed appreciation to leaders and the leadership of the party as well as the national leader of APGA, Governor Prof Charles Soludo for the confidence repose in him to continue representing them at the National Assembly.
Agbodike, who is the Caucus Leader of APGA in the House of Representatives, is also the Secretary of the Southern Nigerian Caucus, House of Reps, Nigeria, as well as a member of the ECOWAS Parliament.
Hon. Agbodike used the opportunity to thank the people for their continued trust and pledged not to disappoint them.
He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality representation and improving the welfare of his constituents, stressed that he would reciprocate the confidence reposed in him.
A prominent stakeholder from Ihiala Federal Constituency, Chief Ifeanyichukwu Orjiakor, praised Agbodike’s contributions to development in the Ihiala, expressing confidence that his second-term ambition would succeed with the backing of stakeholders.
“By virtue of seeing me here, he will attest with me that he performed well. And honestly, I was asked to come and witness this hour to be sure that what we agreed at home is what is also going on here,” Orjiakor said.
