The founder and overseer of Dominion City Church Worldwide, Dr. David Ogbueli, is set to host Anambra State traditional rulers, in a retreat, in Awka, the Anambra State capital in two weeks time. The traditional rulers’ retreat, in line with the vision of Dominion City to raise leaders that transform society, is an aspect of the Church’s elaborate programme for Anambra State in the month of June 2026 tagged “Church Shift and Holy Ghost Conference,” slated to commence from 24th through 28th of June, 2026 at the International Convention Centre, Awka.
The retreat is designed as an integral programme of the Church to deepen impact on society. The theme of the traditional rulers’ retreat is “The role of the Church and Christianity in the development of Igbo land,” and would be held between 26th and 27th June, 2026. This programme is designed exclusively for Anambra State traditional rulers.
Southeast Nigeria requires not only spiritual revival, but also synergy among relevant segments of the society, so as to advance the cause of progress. The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has continued to reiterate his administration’s commitment to public private partnerships in diverse areas of capacity and infrastructure building among others, to move Anambra State forward. Recently, the Governor, Professor Charles Soludo has also intensified crackdown on fake spiritualists under the cover of the church and traditional worship in order to position the State on the path of enlightened spiritual consciousness.
Considering the novelty of this initiative by Dominion City, it is expected that at the end of the retreat, the Church as an important segment of the society and a critical partner in the aspiration of the State, would have made a crucial input beyond moral admonition towards synergizing with Anambra traditional institutions to accelerate growth and progress in Anambra State.
