Speaking during the visit, Chairman of the Christian Men’s Fellowship of the church, Dr Izuchukwu Okeke said the visit was to identify with the less privileged children, celebrate with them and to give them sense of belonging.

He said, “We were here last year for the same purpose. Today we’re here again to encourage both the children and their caregivers, as part of activities to mark the Father’s Week.

“We came to with these gifts items because, as fathers we see the children as our own who we owe responsibility of taking care of. That’s why we sacrificed time to be here.

“Our prayer is that God will continue to bless and grant the children life and sound health. May He also grant you the caregivers the strength and wisdom to take care of the children.”

Responding, Administrator of the home, Ifenyinwa Onuora expressed gratitude to the group for remembering the children and including them as part of their activities.

She prayed God to bless them with long life and replenish their pockets, saying the items would go a long way in lifting the children’s health and wellness.

Highlights of the visit were songs and special prayers by the children to the fathers and presentation of gifts to the kids.

The weeklong activities which started on Monday would be culminated on Sunday with Church Service and thanksgiving by the fathers.
