The Labour Party (LP) Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District, Ven. Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue, has congratulated Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, and the people of the state over Abia’s impressive performance in the latest Philips Consulting State Performance Index.
Speaking in Awka, Ikezue described the state’s rise in the performance ranking as a product of purposeful leadership, fiscal discipline, infrastructure renewal and a strong commitment to improving the welfare of citizens.
According to him, Abia’s achievement serves as a beacon of hope for the South-East, demonstrating that effective leadership can transform governance, enhance transparency and improve service delivery across the region.
The senatorial candidate said the recognition also validates the party’s people-oriented approach to governance, noting that the development offers hope to other states in Alaigbo that meaningful progress is achievable when leaders remain accountable to the people.
Drawing inspiration from Abia’s success, Ikezue said the people of Anambra Central deserve comparable improvements in road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, education and digital governance, adding that the state’s performance reinforces the need for leaders to prioritize the needs of citizens.
He further commended Governor Otti and his administration for what he described as a national recognition that has projected the image of the Igbo nation positively.
“On behalf of the Ven. Tochukwu Sagacious Ikezue Senatorial Campaign Council and the people of Anambra Central, I commend Governor Otti and his team for this outstanding achievement. We celebrate with the people of Abia and pray for even greater milestones,” he said.
