“God has guided me through every hurdle” — Cleric recounts journey, highlights scholarships, medical outreach and humanitarian interventions
Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as Fr. Ebube Muonso, has marked his 15th Priestly Anniversary at the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, reflecting on a priestly journey he described as one sustained by the grace and guidance of God despite numerous hurdles.
Speaking during the anniversary celebration, Fr. Ebube Muonso expressed profound gratitude to God for seeing him through the past 15 years of priestly service, stressing that the journey would not have been possible without divine guidance.
The priest also used the occasion to publicly appreciate his Archbishop, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, Archbishop of Onitsha, describing him as a father to all and a shepherd who has continued to guide and correct him whenever he makes mistakes.
Fr. Ebube Muonso prayed that God would continually strengthen the Archbishop and grant him the grace and wisdom to continue leading the faithful.
‘I Have Thousands Under My Scholarship Scheme’
Highlighting his humanitarian interventions, Fr. Ebube Muonso said he remains committed to empowering people and giving back to society as directed by the Holy Spirit.
He stated that he has one of the largest scholarship schemes in Anambra State, noting that thousands of beneficiaries are currently being supported through his scholarship initiative.
According to him, education remains one of the most important ways of changing lives and creating opportunities for people who may otherwise struggle to achieve their dreams.
He further disclosed that ₦100 million has been mapped out for medical outreach, reaffirming his commitment to using his ministry to touch lives beyond the pulpit.
Sponsoring Patients in India
The cleric also revealed that two patients currently receiving treatment in India are being sponsored single-handedly by him.
The disclosure formed part of a wider account of his humanitarian activities, which he said are motivated by the direction of the Holy Spirit and his desire to give back to society.
Beyond medical intervention and education, Fr. Ebube Muonso also provides monthly financial support to elderly people in Nkwelle Ezunaka, helping to sustain them through regular monthly payments.
His supporters describe the breadth of his philanthropic activities as remarkable, with interventions spanning education, healthcare, elderly support and other areas of human development.
‘I Didn’t Plan to Celebrate the Anniversary’
Interestingly, Fr. Ebube Muonso disclosed that he initially did not intend to celebrate his 15th Priestly Anniversary on a grand scale.
However, according to him, messages, surprises and gestures from people continued to come, making it difficult to ignore the significance of the milestone.
One of the touching surprises came from a woman who prepared food for people as part of the celebration, further demonstrating the affection and appreciation many have for the priest.
Fr. Jeremiah Ikezue Celebrates Mentor
Also speaking on the occasion, Fr. Jeremiah Ikezue expressed his utmost happiness over Fr. Ebube Muonso’s 15th anniversary, describing him as a mentor and offering prayers and good wishes for his continued priestly journey.
Fr. Jeremiah prayed for God’s continued strength, grace and protection upon the celebrant, while celebrating the impact of his priestly ministry.
15 YEARS OF PRIESTHOOD — A LEGACY STILL UNFOLDING
For Fr. Ebube Muonso, the 15th anniversary was more than a celebration of years. It was an opportunity to look back with gratitude, acknowledge those who have guided him, and reaffirm his commitment to service.
