The Government of Anambra State has developed a digital platform called “SmartGov,” where government services can be obtained at any time by residents and other interested individuals just by a click. With the platform, inquiries relating to government services, programmes and policies can also be accessed.
SmartGov is Anambra’s e-governance platform created by the Anambra State ICT Agency, which allows residents to access government services from any Ministry, Department and Agency (MDA) of the State Government. Services from any level of government as well as services offered by any arm of the Government of Anambra State can also be accessed. It also provides a 24-hour response to any inquiry from residents and other users on anything concerning governance in Anambra State.
The digital platform can be explored at https://smart.anambrastate.gov.ng and has now been enhanced by the ICT Agency using the Artificial Intelligence (AI) called Nora to deliver speedy and timely responses to users. This platform also provides a safe and secure payment interface for government services, as well as facilitates meetings with various MDAs.
Last year, SmartGov was recognized as a crucial national innovation on e-governance and was subsequently recognized by the National Council on Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy as the national best innovation, which gave Anambra its four national awards on governance digital innovation.
With SmartGov’s integration with Nora AI, governance is fully digitized in Anambra State, with a promise of smarter, faster, and easier access to services, programmes, and policies of the State Government.
