The Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, has clarified the circumstances surrounding her purported link with the “Made-in-Nigeria Agency,” saying her role is limited to an official nomination as State Focal Person.
In a statement on Saturday, Nnake said her photograph and name began trending after she was identified as one of the State Coordinators of the agency.
According to her, the engagement began in January 2026 when the Governor received a letter from the Made-in-Nigeria Office, said to be under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, requesting each state to nominate a Focal Person.
“In response, the Governor, in February 2026, nominated me as the State Focal Person for Anambra State,” she stated.
Nnake explained that since the nominations, Focal Persons from the 36 states have been interacting in a WhatsApp group on matters relating to the activities of the office.
She added that the office later wrote to Anambra State requesting that the state host the South East Made-in-Nigeria Fair. The request, she said, was approved.
An inaugural meeting was held about two weeks ago with the National Coordinator in attendance, and the State Committee has since been working on preparations for the fair scheduled for 2nd – 5th December 2026.
However, Nnake stressed that her involvement stops at those official interactions.
“Beyond these official interactions and engagements, I have no knowledge of, involvement in, or connection with any other activities, claims, or developments attributed to the said office,” she said.
“I therefore wish to make it clear that anything beyond the above-mentioned official interactions is entirely outside my knowledge and involvement.”
The clarification comes amid probe public discussions over the fake agency and the roles of state coordinators nationwide.
