Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra state has described the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as an unshakeable political fortress in Anambra State.

Addressing a massive crowd of party faithful and residents during the grand finale ward-to-ward parade for the 15 wards in Anambra East Local Government Area, Soludo emphasized that his administration takes democratic processes seriously by systematically mobilizing across all local government tiers.

“This is a rally for the local government election coming up this Saturday. We are serious about the election, mobilizing all through the LGAs ahead of the exercise.

“This is in the tradition of democracy, to tick all the boxes. Our local government system is working, and we are mainstreaming a model local government administration designed to achieve accountability, transparency, and sustainability,” he said.

Highlighting the tangible impacts of grassroots governance, the Governor noted that primary school teachers, healthcare workers, and public servants are paid as and when due.

He also expressed profound gratitude to the people of Anambra East for their massive bloc votes during previous gubernatorial outings.

“The General election will take place in January and February next year, before then, we will unveil our presidential, senatorial, house of representatives, and house of assembly candidates,” he announced.

The grand finale rally featured powerful endorsements from major political stakeholders, executive cabinet members, legislative leaders, and community representatives who cataloged the administration’s sweeping developmental strides.

The Mayor of Anambra East LGA, Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Chinweze, lauded the Governor for his continuous infrastructural support, road construction, the ongoing 70% completion of the strategic Otuocha market serving the Omambala region and Kogi State, and the restoration of lasting peace in previously warring communities.

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Tobechukwu Nweke, alongside House of Assembly Member representing Anambra East, Barr. Obi Nweke, said the community’s total rejection of opposition figures during past elections signaled absolute loyalty to APGA, fueled by the administration’s free education, free antenatal, and free delivery policies.

Speaker, State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, and APGA Senatorial Candidate for Anambra North, Senator Stella Oduah, reinforced that Anambra East will deliver a resounding victory on Saturday just as they did during the governorship elections, praising Soludo’s visionary economic blueprint.

State APGA Chairman Barr. Ifeatu Obiokoye and National APGA Chairman Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa commended the Governor’s transformational leadership, noting that APGA’s core mandate remains centered on structural development, democratic accountability, and actively lifting people out of poverty.

Traders’ representative Mrs. Chukwuma Veronica, speaking for Otuocha market women, pledged their total support for the Mayor of Anambra East.

Federal Constituency candidate, Chinedu Obidigwe said the ideal reward for exceptional leadership and continuous infrastructural development is “more work” and landslide mandate at the polls on Saturday.
