The Umuoji born House of Representative aspirant for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency under the Nigerian Democratic Congress NDC party, Hon Barr. Ifeanyi Mbanusi has tasked the newly inaugurated NDC Exco for Umuoji Ward to ensure that the NDC Presidential flag bearer, Mr Peter Obi wins in all the 39 polling units of Umuoji community/Ward in the 2027 elections.
Speaking during the occasion of inauguration of Umuoji Ward executives and the unveiling of the Umuoji NDC party Secretariat beside St Michael’s hospital Umuoji, Hon. Mbanusi charged the new executives to discharge their duties in good faith without fear or favor and with the fear of God urging them to be focused and to avoid being distracted or deceived by any group of people.
According to him, Our Major objective is to make sure that NDC candidates win in the next elections and let Peter Obi emerge as the president of Nigeria.
“I stand with Mr. Peter Obi 100 percent. I will deliver the 39 polling units in Umuoji ward for Peter Obi. With the establishment of the new executives, we are going to Marshal out plans and modalities on how to deliver each polling unit. We are creating a 13-man polling unit executive that will be able to manage each polling unit.
“People should practice politics with a target. We don’t want a situation where people will be selling their birth right by collecting peanuts that will not be enough for one full meal. It is not the best. People should show level of decency, integrity and credibility so that when you vote, you know that you are voting with your conscience. Don’t vote because you were given money. No money that they give you will be enough. Let us vote with our conscience and vote the right candidates into office because a New Nigeria is still possible for all of us”.
“The 2027 election will determine the fate of Nigerians. Everybody is worried with situation of things in the country. Get your voter’s card, come out and vote, stay there and count it , snap the result and post it, Your vote will count this time.
“Peter Obi has a special grace. He won before and will win again and nobody will rob him of the victory this time around and I will be at the Green chambers to ensure Peter Obi is not impeached for doing the right thing.
“Peter Obi will be President of Nigeria come 2027 go and mark today’s date.
“Canvas, campaign and talk for Peter Obi. NDC has become a party. Because of Peter ObiNDC has become the fastest growing party in Nigeria,” said Mbanusi.
Moreso, Mbanusi said that times have passed when Umuoji will be playing second fiddle, supporting other people while the community has the resources required to lead.
“We can’t continue supporting people from other communities. We have the population, numbers , enough polling units. If you are here today God loves you. For us in Umuoji we have come to take our stand. I need your support as Umuojians. I am not coming to contest for House of Representative Idemili North and South Federal Constituency for my selfish interest. It is for Umuoji and the entire Idemili. I want to go there and make a difference not to go and make money.
“I have seen money, it doesn’t control me. What matters is integrity and credibility. I have come out to serve and make a difference. That is why I am following Peter Obi who wants to make a difference in Nigeria.
“A New Nigeria is possible, with a good leader you will know that Nigeria is a blessed country. We have the natural resources but the people at the top are mismanaging our resources.
“I am the NDC aspirant for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency pending when the election. We want new members to come and register here in our new Secretariat,” Mbanusi stated .
Inaugurating the new executives, the trio of the NDC Vice Chairman, Idemili North LGA, Chief Toochukwu Anaekwe, Hon Barr Ifeanyi Mbanusi and another NDC Chieftain, Chief Anthony Obiaku Chinaemeze warned the new executives to shun anti party activities saying that if Peter Obi wins not only will there be a better Nigeria, Umuoji community and Idemili North and South Federal Constituency will benefit because their own son Mbanusi would be part of the team to work out the new Nigeria from the Green chambers.
The newly inaugurated NDC Exco for Umuoji Ward include: Ward Chairman – Stanley Nwachukwu Fantasy, Vice Chairman – Titus Okoye, Secretary – Henry Okeke, Asst Sec – Chukwuma Igweagu, Woman Leader – Lynda Udezue, Youth leader – Hon Tochukwu Onwuachu, Treasurer – John Mbanwusi, Chief Provost – Anene Onuagha, Auditor – Chinelo Anwa, Pub Sec/ PRO – Cynthia Chukwuka, Asst Pub Sec/PRO – Nnaemeka Ibegbu, Fin Sec – Hon Tagboo Ifochukwu , Legal Adviser, Emelie Iwugo, Organizing Sec – Amaka James, the three Ex Officials are Ifeanyi Igwe, Lynda Francis and Onyinye Mbaonu.
In his acceptance speech, Hon Stanley Nwachukwu Fantasy promised to carry everyone along and ensure that the good news and campaign for A New Nigeria by Peter Obi is possible reaches the grassroots saying that they will also ensure that their own brother, Hon Ifeanyi Mbanusi emerges as a member of Federal House of Representative for Idemili North and South Constituency.
Highlights of the event include the unveiling of the NDC Umuoji Ward Secretariat by the NDC Party Idemili North Vice Chairman.
