The Managing Director of the Anambra State ICT Agency, Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata (CFA), on Thursday, played host to the Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, Dr. Law Mefor, to deepen collaboration between the Agency and the Ministry on digitization. During the meeting, the Commissioner for Information was taken through the new and upgraded SolutionLens platform by the MD of the ICT Agency, and thereafter, the platform was handed over to the Ministry of Information and Value Reformation.
Earlier, receiving the Commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, Dr. Law Mefor, the MD of ICT Agency, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, expressed confidence in the collaboration and how beneficial it is for Ndi Anambra in accessing timely and correct information at all times. “I warmly welcome the Commissioner and his team. This is the Anambra State ICT Agency. We have done aggressive updates on the platform (SolutionLens). We will share further thoughts and insights that will help the work of the Ministry (in information dissemination) and provide support to the Ministry technically,” Mr. Agbata said.
Narrating some of the improvements on the platform as well as improvements on the State platform, Mr. Chukwuemeka Agbata observed that the new platform has been built and equipped with AI features that make it far easier for users, revealing that the ICT Agency can now run on Nora AI in his absence. “What we have done is that we have taken Nora, which we use to run the Agency, and embedded it on the platform. We have the public side of Nora and the private side of Nora. The private side of Nora is what we use it for and what we can enable other internal users to do with it. But we have made the public side of Nora available to Ndi Anambra. Nora makes it easy to find information. We want Ndi Anambra to find information that is publicly available easily,” Agbata assured.
Reacting, the Commissioner for Information and Value Reformation, Dr. Law Mefor, described the MD of ICT Agency as “a brother and friend.” According to Dr. Mefor, the collaboration is going beyond the SolutionLens into the “deployment of AI to help the MDAs. Beyond the SolutionLens aspect, which concerns us more, we will also be learning how we can benefit from Nora and AI generally being deployed by the ICT Agency,” Dr. Mefor added. He also expressed confidence in the extent to which the Agency can go to ensure that the collaboration strengthens the mandate of the Ministry of Information and Value Reformation.
