As a result of insecurity in Anambra State fuelled by activities of unknown gunmen, former senator representing Anambra south senatorial District in the national assembly and APC candidate in the Anambra governorship election 2021, Andy Uba has recently given out daughter’s hand in marriage in Abuja.
According to a reliable source close to the family, decision to hold the event in Abuja was largely as a result of insecurity in the South East, particularly in Anambra state .
The source confirmed that it was in a bid to ensure that majority of his friends, including in-laws who are mostly coming from other parts of Nigeria and outside are safe during the event that made the senator reluctantly took this decision.
Senator Andy Uba may not be the only high profile Igbo person who has hosted such customary event outside their country home in Igboland in the new wave of insecurity which has swept the south east recently.
