Team Nigeria has emerged champions of the FC Bayern 2022 World Youth Cup, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.
The glorious team began the trophy chase with a 3-0 bashing of Singapore, 1-0 win against Japan and 2-2 draw with Mexico in the group stage.
They trounced Argentina 4-0 in the semis and meeting Japan again in the finals was an easy ride with a 3-1 win.
Victor Omale won the top scorer award with six goals while Abdulgaffar Abubakar won the best goalkeeper award.
Victor Orakpo won the tournament Most Valuable Player Award. He will join the FC Bayern World Squad for 2023
Anambra was represented in the team by Chidera Nnadi and Nzube Mbaezue from Aspire FC.
Some of the players thanked Dr Emeka Okeke, the founder of Aspire FC for his contributions in making the trip a reality.
