After a hard-fought election, Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, may visit labour party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi in a move to bring him and labour party onboard as partners to government of national unity project which his party,APC mulls to douse tension in the polity as a result of irregularities that marred the just concluded presidential election.

ANAMBRA PEOPLE gathered that the visit barring all unforseen circumstances might likely be scheduled any time this week or after the governorship and House of Assembly elections in the country. The meeting will offer Tinubu an opportunity to extend an olive branch to Mr Peter Obi and both are expected to have a civil conversation and prioritise the greater good of the country.

Competent sources confirmed that the President-elect will also pay a similar visit to his closest rival and candidate of the People’s Democratic Party,His Excellency ,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Recall Mr Peter Obi defeated the President-elect in his political stronghold of Lagos State during the presidential election held on Saturday.

However, after the votes were counted, INEC declared that Tinubu satisfied the constitutional requirement to be declared president-elect despite rejection of the results by opposition political parties who alleged electoral fraud and failure of INEC to abide by its own regulations requiring transmission of the results from the polling units to a central server accessible by the public.
