The Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU) has commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for his war against terrorists operating from forests across the state, saying that the governor is determined to reclaim the forests from terrorists masquerading as agitators, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.
National President of ASATU Chief Barr. Titus Nnabuike Akpudo who issued a congratulatory message in Awka on Monday on Soludo’s 100 days in office, said the governor has had a sterling and visible performance in spite of the security challenges he inherited.
Akpudo in his congratulatory message to the governor said, ” Mr Governor, may I on behalf of myself and entire members of Anambra State Association of Town Unions congratulate you and members of your Executive Council on your sterling and visible performance in the office within 100 days despite the security challenges you inherited.
Mr Governor, of the greatest of these achievements, is the restoration of democratic government in all the communities in Anambra State that has one town union crisis or the other. This affirm your belief that power belongs to the people and ASATU will forever be grateful for such gesture.
Mr Governor, your constant conversation with the President Generals, Traditional and Religious leaders in Anambra State before embarking on any major policy is worthy of commendation. ASATU as a body will continue to play a stabilisation role in the grassroot so that your policies will be well communicated to the common man on the street.
Mr Governor, May we commend you also for your determination to sanitise our forests occupied by criminal elements parading as agitators. Your policy of “See something, Say Something” is a testimonial that every onye Anambra is part of the operation that takes back Anambra State from criminals. Mr Governor, be assured of maximum cooperation of ASATU in this war against terrorists in Anambra Forest.
Mr Governor, ASATU is in a very close relationship with all your Honourable Commissioners hence we cannot fail to congratulate ourselves on these successes.
Therefore I congratulate also in a special way our Honorable Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs Mr Collins Nwabunwanne and every member of ASATU for this 100 days of prosperity and clear vision in Anambra State.
