A student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Anambra, Samuel Okeke has revealed how her 23 Year old sister and student of History and International Studies at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State, Chiamaka Okeke, was stabbed to death by robbers in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State. Samuel blamed the death of the deceased, who was his elder sister on the Academic Staff Union of Universities and the Federal government.
In an interview with news men Samuel Okeke said that Chiamaka had come home from school for a while because of the strike but because the burden on their parents was too much, she decided to get a job. He said that Chiamaka and her room mate had got a job at a shawarma spot, located around Ezi Alias junction in Enugwu-Ukwu.

However, on June 10th and at around 9:30pm when they were locking the shop, they were attacked by a gang of robbers who asked Chiamaka to surrender her phone. He said that Chiamaka had told them that she wasn’t with a phone but they went ahead to drag her bag from her, and stabbed her multiple times on the stomach and chest.

Samuel said thus about his sister:

“She didn’t even resist them or argue with them. They just killed my sister for nothing. She was just trying to make ends meet because of this ASUU palaver. I will never forgive ASUU and the Federal Government for this! My sister didn’t deserve to die. How much was the salary that she was even paid? How long has she even worked there?”
