Professor of water resources and environmental engineering, Dr Luke Eme of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University has been honored in Moscow, Russia by the Global Energy Association at the Russian Energy week 2022, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports. The award was presented to him by Glen Daigger, President of the International Water Association, London.
Professor Eme’s work came out as the overall best of the 387 applications received globally.
The honour was predicated on the outcome of his doctoral research work in 2012 at Anambra State University (now Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University) on “Simulation modelling in Markovian Decision Theory in Multipurpose/Multi-objective River Basin Engineering Development Planning and Management.
Russian Energy Week is an international event which provides a platform to discuss the main economic challenges in energy, as well as current issues concerning the development of the fuel and energy sector.
Professor Luke Eme is a seasoned scholar who holds B.Sc, PGDE, PGD, M.Eng & Ph.D( Civil Engineering-Water with distinctions) from ESUT, UDFU, NAU, and Anambra State University.
He is a member of many professional bodies such as: NIOB, CORBON, NSE, COREN, IDRI, IWA(London), AASRC(USA).He has over 10 years research experience in River Basin Projects such as hydro-electric power generation,Water supply, Irrigation system etc. He is equally the Head of Civil Engineering Department,Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Uli, Anambra state.
