The Federal Government has appointed Mrs Christy Uba as overseer of the National Youth Service Corps, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.
According to a statement signed by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, on Tuesday, the NYSC said Uba took over the leadership of the corps, being the most senior director in the scheme.
“Mrs Uba will serve in the capacity of an Overseer, pending the appointment of a substantive Director General by Mr President,” the statement added.
Christy Uba, from Nnewi holds a B.Sc Degree in computer science from University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Prior to becoming the NYSC DG, Christy Uba was the Director of ICT, at the NYSC Secretariat, Abuja.
