The recent incident happened at a popular intersection near the back gate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka on Tuesday morning, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.
There was tension in Awka, the Anambra State capital, on Tuesday as gunmen reportedly killed two people in a tricycle.
This is coming barely 24 hours four people were reportedly killed at Chief Obi Maduka’s compound within Nodu town square, Nodu Okpuno.
Meanwhile, the recent incident happened at a popular intersection near the back gate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka on Tuesday morning.
Although, the identities of the victims were yet to be ascertained, they were believed to be commercial tricycle riders.
A 16-second video, showed a lifeless body of a young man lying by the side of a tricycle and another body lying few meters away.
An eyewitness confirmed that the victims were assassinated by two boys who rode on a motorcycle on Tuesday morning.
Efforts to speak with the State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Tochukwu Ikenga were unsuccessful as he didn’t answer his calls at the time of filing this report.
