…..Commends Ndigbo, Peter Obi
The leader of Ndigbo in Asia,HRH Eze Amb Jerome Ezeneche (King of Six Nations) has congratulated Senator Ifeanyi Uba, representing Anambra South senatorial District and Chief Paschal Agbodike, deputy speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly on their well deserved Victory at the just concluded polls, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.
Senator Ubah won reelection to represent Anambra south senatorial District for a second term,while Mr Paschal Agbodike ,the current deputy speaker Anambra state House of Assembly won election to represent Ihiala local government Area at the house of representatives.
In a statement on Thursday,the Igbo leader urged the Legislators to see this opportunity as a call to continue to serve and a further confirmation of people’s unalloyed belief in their quality representation. He charged them to continue with the grassroot oriented programs which endeared both of them to the people and advised other politicians to emulate them, maintaining that it was only the good work they rendered in their constituencies that could have earned them reelection in the wake of political tsunami that took down a lot of iroko in the Anambra political space. He further urged them not to rest on their oars and charged them to endeavour to make laws that will generally bring development to Igboland.
Igwe Ezeneche also congratulated other Anambra state candidates who won national assembly seats in Saturday election.
He called on the returning and incoming lawmakers to eschew politics of bitterness and segregation to enable them engender prosperity in the state.
Similarly,Ezeneche equally commended the presidential candidate of Labour party, Mr Peter Obi for putting up a good fight in the just concluded presidential election and stated that the former governor of Anambra State made ndi Igbo proud by the kind of issue based campaign he ran throughout electioneering and his general conduct. Igwe Ezeneche explained that as a game changer,Peter Obi’s candidacy united Nigerians at home and in the diaspora and quenched raging agitations in every part of the country because of the hope it signifies.
Continuing, Ezeneche urged Nigerian youths to remain calm in the face of provocation and assured them that as an implicit believer in the judiciary, the former governor of Anambra state will stop at nothing in reclaiming his mandate through the courts.
He thanked ndi Igbo for coming out en masse to make a bold statement in the election and assured them that the world heard them.
He prayed for wisdom upon these political leaders and thanked God for a peaceful election in Igbo land
