Everyday Supermarket announces retirement of Founder/CEO, Dr. Charles Dimnwaobi.

Everyday Supermarket, owned by Everyday Group, has announced the retirement of its Founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Managing Director, Dr. Charles Dimnwaobi. Dr. Charles has been with the company since its inception in 1994 and played a pivotal role in its growth over the past 29 years. He will now take on the role of Founder Emeritus & Advisor to the Board of Directors. This transition marks an important milestone for Everyday Supermarket.

In January 2022, Everyday Group partnered with strategic investor Uhuru Investment Partners to lead the company’s next phase of growth. Dr. Dimnwaobi expressed his pride and gratitude for the journey he has had with the company for over three decades, and he believes that the partnership with Uhuru Investment Partners will lay a stronger foundation for the company’s future growth.

The Board of Directors sees this leadership transition as part of the company’s succession plan and aims to implement strategic innovations and standard corporate governance practices for continuous success. The board recognizes Dr. Charles’ contributions in building Everyday Supermarket into the successful organization it is today.

Speaking on the transition, Dr. Yemi Osindero, Managing Partner of Uhuru Investment Partners and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Everyday Group, expressed immense gratitude to Dr. Charles for his contributions and believes that the company will continue to execute its strategic plans and maintain its strong market position.

Sachin Gupta has been appointed as the Acting Managing Director of Everyday Supermarket. He assured stakeholders that the company will continue to execute its vision and strategy, ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining its strong market position. The management team, along with the Board of Directors and employees, remain committed to providing exceptional retail experiences for customers.
