Rapid High-Level Validation Meeting on Revised National Population Policy .

Opening ceremony of the Resources for the Awareness of Population Impacts on Development (RAPID) High-level Validation Meeting for the revised National Population Policy at the Bolton White Hotel in Abuja, today – 10th August 2023.

The RAPID model links demographic change to resources required to meet the socio-economic needs of the population.

The event had in attendance the Chairman of National Population Commission, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra and development partners from the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN), Population Advisory Group (PAG), Association for the Advancement of Family Planning (AAFP), Education as a Vaccine (EVA) and relevant MDAs.The capacity-building workshop is being organized by the Commission in collaboration with the Lafiya Group and FCDO.
