Valentine Ozigbo, a 2021 Anambra Governorship Candidate, has urged the people of Bayelsa State to ensure that they vote only leaders with verifiable track records into political offices.
Mr Ozigbo made the call on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, when he attended the campaign flag-off of the Bayelsa Labour Party governorship campaign for its candidates, Engr Udengs Eradiri and his running mate Commodore Benjamin Nathus (rtd).
While speaking at the event, Ozigbo stated that he was inspired by the Labour Party’s candidate’s plan for the state, especially concerning his commitment to good governance, economic growth, and social development.
“Without a doubt, Bayelsa State is blessed with enormous resources and holds immense potential, and with the right leadership which Comrade Eradiri and his running mate plans to enthrone, it can not only thrive but become a model for progress in Nigeria,” Ozigbo stated.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Peter Obi, and members of the Labour Party National Working Committee, led by the National Chairman of the Party, Barr Julius Abure, among others.
