Breaking:Police arrest Ozo Jeff Nweke in Abuja

An alleged sponsor of women who protested nude in Awka, Anambra State Ozo Jeff Nweke has been arrested in Abuja.

The Anambra state Police Commissioner, CP Aderemi Adeoye who confirmed the arrest,said he was arrested in Abuja on Monday.

Adeoye said , “yes Ozo Jeff Nweke has been arrested and he was arrested in Abuja”

Adeoye revealed that, his three months in office as the CP has witnessed acknowledgement of several petitions from various communities in the state “accusing Ozo Jeff Nweke of using armed operatives of his Blue Shield Security Company for land grabbing.”

According to our correspodent investigations revealed that Ozo Nweke was trailed and arrested in Abuja.

Ozo Jeff Nweke who is the owner of a private security outfit, Blue Shield Nigeria Limited has been severally accused of land grabbing and others .

The protesting naked women demanded for redeployment of Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), Akin Fakorede and Inspector Monday Umana.

He was also accused of sponsoring the women nude protest in Awka, demanding the deployment of some police officers.

Following the protest ,the police released some records of his alleged criminal activities, describing him as fugitive on the run to avoid Justice.

Before he was arrested,
Aderemi Adeoye said Nweke had been charged to Federal High Court and State High Court in Awka but he refused to appear in court.

Because of his non appearance in court , Adeoye threatened bench warrant for the arrest of Nweke at the next court sitting.

They also accused Nweke, of taking advantage of his private security outfit, Blue Shield Security to threaten their peaceful existence as law-abiding community.

The spokesman of the protesting group, Peter Onuekwusi alleged that Nweke was taking advantage of his real estate firms, Mango and Lion Property Nigeria Limited and Fourways Court Estate to appropriate ancestral lands belonging to Enugwu-Agidi.
