The father of Tanya Okpala,the Nigerian born ex-US based Tennis champion , has appreciated the government of Anambra State for rescuing and rehabilitating his daughter.
Mr Joel Okpala, whose daughter was recently rescued by the Anambra state government has expressed gratitude towards the positive development.
Mr Okpala made the commendation while interacting with the commissioner for women and social welfare Anambra State, Ify Obinabo.
Mr Okpala whose joy knew no bound while speaking with the wife of the governor Mrs Nonye Soludo over the phone, said that he is overwhelmed with the first lady’s magnanimous nature especially as it concerns his daughter who has been an addict for 18 years.
He went on to thank Mrs Soludo for offering to cater for his daughter’s treatment and ensure her well-being assuring that he will do his best as always to support his daughter.
Mr Okpala who came along with Tania’s daughter equally visited the hospital straight from the office of the commissioner for women and social welfare where he bonded with his daughter.
He encouraged his daughter at the hospital never to go back to her old ways and to trust God for Divine healing.
