A top aspirant in the 2025 Governorship election in Anambra State ( name withheld) has said he may pick Mrs Margaret Obi, the wife of the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) as his running mate.
The politician who spoke to the media exclusively said that was part of his strategies to unseat the incumbent governor of the state, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, in the 2025 poll.
” Yes, I may pick the wife of our former governor and the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), as my running mate.
“That’s one way to attract the supporters of the OBIDIENT movement to my side and beat Soludo hands down in that election.
“That is just one of our strategies. There are many others; but we are keeping them to our chests for now. I have not even disclosed this plans to her( Margaret or the husband( Peter Obi) yet because 2025 is still far.
“But at the appropriate time, we shall lay our cards on the table. There’s no how I will pick such calibre of woman as my running mate without getting the massive support and blessings of the OBIDIENT movement and his Excellency, Mr Peter Obi.
“Watch and see, we are coming into that contest with a Tsunami and I’m sure by His Grace, God will give us the victory because our people deserve better leadership which we will offer them if they give us the mandate in 2025.
“Soludo has done his best, but his best is not enough for our people. We have better ideas on how to make the lives of our people better.
