Nollywood up-and-coming actor, TC Okafor, shared his intense ordeal surviving a recent boating mishap that tragically claimed the lives of some of his colleagues in the film industry. He recounted how, acting on the advice of his spiritual mentor, he poured a bottle of Fanta and ten thousand Naira into the river en route to the movie set.
In the wake of the devastating event that resulted in the fatalities of Nollywood actor Junior Pope and three others, film producer Stanley Nwoke shared a video on his official Instagram account featuring TC Okafor’s account of his survival.
TC Okafor detailed how he sought counsel from his spiritual mentor before embarking on the boat, and she recommended specific rituals.
He remarked, “When I got to the place, I bought Fanta, I had 10k with me, I used it and sprayed it on the water, as instructed by my spiritual mother. The remaining 5k, I gave it to the children on top of the water.”
He also revealed that he was rescued by clinging onto the boat’s rope and recalled an accusation from Adanma Luke, who blamed him for the accident, leading her to request the Marine Police officer present to apprehend him.
