Anambra Family Association In US Supports Anambra Government, Distributes 4500 Bags to Pupils

A united States of American based association, Anambra Family Association (AFA) of Arizona, has complemented government effort at giving the best education to pupils in Anambra State by donating educational materials to students and pupils to aid their learning. In a collaboration with Anambra State government through the office of the Special Assistant to the Governor on Student liaison, the association has commenced the distribution of 4500 bags to primary school pupils across the 21 Local Government Areas in Anambra State.

The bag distribution project was launched at Convent Primary School Isuofia, on Saturday, 3rd May 2024.

According to the initiator, Mr Amechi Nwafor who is the President of Anambra Family Association,Arizona USA, the partnership is part of their ongoing contributions to support the educational aspirations of young learners.

“The partnership between Anambra Family Association Arizona USA and the Soludo led administration underscores the power of collaboration in addressing critical social issues. By pooling resources and expertise, we are able to make a tangible difference in the lives of students, providing them with essential tools for academic success” Mr Amechi said.

Speaking at the event, the president of the Anambra Family Association Arizona USA ably represented Dr. Uche Okafor said,“The distribution of 4500 bags not only meets the immediate needs of these pupils but also sends a powerful message of solidarity and support from the association. Each bag represents a beacon of hope and encouragement, reminding students that they are valued members of society with bright futures ahead”.

In a vote of thanks,the Special Assistant to Governor on Student Liaison,Mr Benedict Soludo commended the Association for the initiative. He equally thanked Mr Peter Azolibe, Dr Nkechi Okafor, Hon Chibuzor Okeke, Mr Fidelis Okafor the PG Isuofia community, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh the Commissioner for Education and Dr Vera Nwadinobi the Chairman ASUBEB Anambra and all those involved in making the event a huge success. “Your dedication and compassion serve as an inspiration to us all, reminding us of the power of collective action in building a better world for future generations” Mr Soludo concluded.
