A Popular Anambra State based Lawyer and immediate Vice Chairman of Nigerian Bar Association, NBA Ihiala Branch, Awa Peter Awa Esq has been shot dead by Unknown Gunmen.
Information revealed that the Bar Leader was killed at his home town of Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State on Sunday 19th May 2024 at about 8pm.
A video of the lifeless body of the lawyer was shared on social media groups by mourners.
Awa P Awa Esq was described by colleagues as a brilliant Lawyer and a Jovial good fellow who believes in Justice for the oppressed. His assassination has thrown the legal Community in Anambra State into Mourning.
Awa Esq is the second prominent Lawyer to be assassinated at the terror ravaged Ihiala Local Government. Another prominent Lawyer, Chief Jude Oguejiofor Esq was abducted and assassinated at Orsumoghu town in Ihiala Local Government on January 17th this year.
