Secretary of the Idemili branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Anambra State, Chukwubuikem Azoro has been freed by his abductors.
Azoro, principal partner at Clay & Amicus Solicitors and the secretary of the Idemili Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Anambra State was reportedly freed early this morning after being held captive by kidnappers for 15 days.
Anambra People had reported that Azoro, was kidnapped by unknown persons on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
Members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in the State had boycotted all courts in the state on Thursday in protest of the kidnapping
The peaceful protest, which was addressed by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, reportedly prompted the police to launch an intensive search, leading to Azoro’s release.
