Act silently to take criminals by surprise – Anambra CP tells officers

Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Nnaghe Obono Itam has expressed satisfaction with the courage officers in the Command, especially in Ihaila and environs have shown in sustaining onslaught operations against criminal elements in the state.

The CP stated this in Area Command Ihiala while leading confidence building patrol in the State aimed at showing presence to earn more trust of citizens and residents alike in order to allow them police the state effectively.

He charged the officers to remain resolute and firm but display the standard operational principles of Police mobile training, to act in silence with speed and take criminals by surprise.

“I’m pleased with the courage you have shown in sustaining onslaught operations against the criminal elements who are bent on fomenting troubles and making life unbearable for innocent citizens in the State,” he said.

Itam enjoined the people of the state to remain vigilant, law-abiding and always assist the Police and the security community with timely and credible crime prevention information.

The patrol covered Onitsha expressway to Dunkofia, Nkpor Flyover, Nkpor Junction, Obosi, Idemili flyover linked to Owerri road, Oba, Orafite, Ozubulu, Azia, Ihaila and went through Enugu Ukwu, Ogidi, Oye-agu market, Amawabia before terminating in Awka the State Capital.
