It was celebration galore in Alah na Onugwa community in Olumbanasaa, Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State following government’s directive that work should commence at the site of the destroyed primary school in the area.
Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh who issued the directive on behalf of Governor Chukwuma Soludo during her recent visit to Igbedor, promised that the school must commence academic activities by September this year.
She said the visit was to ensure pupils in the community were not denied basic education as a result of deplorable condition of their school.
She said, “The governor has directed the immediate commencement of work at the site of the destroyed primary school in Alah na Onugwa, in Olumbanasaa.
“This move is another demonstration of his commitment to human capital development to ensure peaceful co-existence.
“With this directive, we expect that work on the site will witness accelerated speed to enable the school commence academic activities by September.”
