Founder/CEO of Bostons Hotel ltd ,Umuoji Anambra State , Dr Victor Ide-Okoye has been honoured as the Best Entrepreneur in the diaspora of the year 2023.
The award ceremony which was organized by the Champion Newspapers saw over 35 other distinguished personalities across the country equally recognized.
Managing Director/ Editor-in-Chief of Champion Newspaper,Dr Iheakanwa Nwadiuto says the award event is “structured to serve as a tonic to the efforts, dedication and tenacity of purpose of persons, institutions and organisations who have over the years consciously made sacrifices in advancing the fortunes of the Nigerian nation and her people.”
She said the awardees are the calibre of people and institutions that Nigeria needs to “get better and bigger”
The award was presented to Dr Victor Ide-Okoye by Barr. Ngozi Ekeoma of Nepal oil .
The organizers said Dr Ide-Okoye was honoured in recognition of his numerous contributions in US and Nigeria as a job creator
Receiving the award, Dr Victor Ide-Okoye expressed gratitude to Champion Newspaper for finding him worthy of such an honor.
He dedicated the award to family , friends, associates and the entire Umuoji community.
Dr Ide-Okoye said
“Thank you Champions Newspaper for this award, I appreciate that you found me worthy of this recognition. Let me also thank my beautiful wife who flew down with me from United States early this morning. I am so grateful for this award and this will spur me to do more and hopefully we are going to inspire entrepreneurs in the United States to do more. Anyway you look at it, this is our country and we must find a way to build it so thank you once again for the recognition. I want to also appreciate all those that came down here with me not minding the short notice, may God continue to bless you guys. Champions, keep on keeping on, you guys are doing an awesome job”
