Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Anambra State Command has restated its preparedness to counter any malicious intent of hostile elements and terrorists to ensure safety of lawful citizens.
State Commandant, Maku Olatunde stated this when he paid a visit to the Forward Operating Base (FOB) of the Joint Task Force in Aguata.
He said the visit was to boost the morale of the troops, assess the conduct of operations, and familiarize himself with the needs of the operating base.
“The visit is also to provide guidance on the ongoing war against terror and reiterated the NSCDC’s commitment to supporting the Joint Task Force in achieving their objectives,” he said.
Maku commended the on-duty security personnel for their exemplary resilience and sacrifice in the fight against terrorism and insurgency in Anambra State.
While interacting with the base personnel, the NSCDC boss praised their exceptional professional competence and devotion to duty in combating criminal activities, including flushing out miscreants and hoodlums.
He stated, “I wish to commend you for your selfless dedication to service. The enemies of the state are on the verge of defeat, and our collective mission is to achieve lasting peace in Anambra State.
“I am confident that we are prepared to counter any malicious intent of hostile elements and terrorists, ensuring the safety of lawful citizens.”
Expressing gratitude to the joint operations team, the NSCDC boss assured them of prompt support from the Joint Service Commanders to effectively counter the infiltration of undesirable elements.
He emphasized, “The current security landscape requires our unwavering vigilance and commitment. It is imperative to recognize that inter-service harmony and synergy are crucial for operational success in neutralizing any threat to our beloved nation and, specifically, Anambra State.”
The State Commandant wished an injured NSCDC personnel receiving treatment at the base speedy recovery and assured him that the Corps would provide all necessary medical assistance.
He also expressed his deepest gratitude to the officer for his dedication and selfless sacrifice in the service of the nation, praising his bravery and commitment to duty.
The NSCDC State helmsman concluded his visit with a stop over at the NSCDC Aguata Divisional office, where he charged personnel to remain steadfast in their duty to protect Critical National Assets and Infrastructure and members of the public.
