Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra State has solicited cooperation with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), particularly in intelligence sharing and operational support during mobile court sittings.

Sector Commander, Joyce Alexander made the call during a familiarization to the state Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

She commended the NSCDC for its progress and expressed gratitude for the warm reception, calling for strengthened collaboration between both agencies.

She said, “As you are aware, the Federal Road Safety Corps plays a vital role in supporting NSCDC and other security agencies through our collaborative efforts. Our extensive database of registered vehicles and driver’s licenses is an invaluable resource in investigations.

“I am here today to request your cooperation and ask that you extend the same level of support, if not more, that you provided to my predecessor. Your continued partnership is crucial to our shared success.”

Responding, NSCDC Commandant, Maku Olatunde assured the FRSC boss of his support in road safety management across the state.

He said, “We will not relent in offering assistance to the FRSC in its efforts to restore sanity on the roads. I appreciate your visit , and I assure you that I will not hesitate to lend my support in any areas you may need our services.

“Your predecessor and I had a strong working relationship, and I’m committed to maintaining, if not strengthening, that partnership with you. Our collaboration has been instrumental in achieving notable outcomes.

“We’ve often relied on FRSC’s expertise and resources, particularly their database of vehicle registrations and driver’s licenses, which has proven invaluable in our investigations,” he stressed.
