Since the beginning of the year, several high-profile Anambrarians have died.

From the political space to business and Corporate world ,their death have caused a lot of pain and anguish to their loved ones and the State

Here is a list of great Anambra personalities who died this year:

Anayo Nnebe

Anayo Nnebe

Former speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Anayo Nnebe died in January this year at the age of 61.
Nnebe died at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital, Nnewi after a brief illness.

The CEO of Vine oil and gas Ltd . Owners of Big Tank farm in calabar and CEO of Tulcan Energy Resources Limited from Oraifite died in July.

Senator Ifeanyi Ubah

Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, serving senator and oil mogul passed away in London in July. He died at 52 just a few months close to his birthday in September

Chief Osondu Nwoye

Chief Osondu Nwoye

He died while watching the Super Eagles of Nigeria play against the South African national team.

Sir Norbert Mbaegbu, Eze Iju and Onowu Ozubulu.
Died in March this Year.

Nkiru Okolo

Nkiru Okolo was a very top banker and socialite.
She died in March this year at the age of 57.

Harford Oseke

Harford Oseke was a former deputy speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly. He died in August 2024 at 64 .
