Breaking: CP orders detention of Corporal, others over murder case in Onitsha

Anambra State çommissioner of Police, Nnaghe Itam has ordered immediate detention of Police patrol team members over murder of unsuspecting member of the public along Owerri road, Onitsha.

Police spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga who disclosed this in a statement said preliminary investigation indicated that among the patrol team, a police corporal was the suspect in the act.

He said the CP has directed immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, (SCID), Awka.

“The CP has sues for calm and assures that the Command will ensure a thorough investigation into the case for justice to prevail,” he added.
