The President and founder of the organization, Lady Jacinta Nweto said what moved her to organize the medical outreach especially this time around was to alleviate the sufferings of many in society who could not afford medical bills because of the economic condition in Nigeria.

“We target over 2,000 beneficiaries with twenty medical doctors, twenty nurses, four eye specialists and three pharmacists.

“If there are surgeries, we refer patients to hospitals and foot the bill by the grace of God.

“We have been doing this for over twenty years now either here in Ozubulu or Lagos.

“We first of all give breakfast to the patients and even others around before screening starts and later lunch to make sure nobody complains of hunger while the programme lasts.

“The essence of this programme is to help the less privileged in our society moreso now that there is an excruciating high cost of living when many people could not afford to pay their hospital bills. There is no age limit for the beneficiaries, it’s meant for all ages, “she submitted.

One of the medical doctors on ground, Dr Nwabueze Kingsley said the programme was apt and advised the rural dwellers never to miss out in a programme like that which he described as an avenue to tackle some medical challenges of the rural communities.

He said that if an outreach of that kind could be organized from time to time in rural communities, that cases of sudden deaths might be reduced in the rural areas thereby extending life expectancy of the rural and urban dwellers.

The traditional ruler of Ozubulu, Igwe Oruche who received priests both from Anglican Communion and Catholic Church who came for the event commended Lady Nweto for her philanthropic gesture.

He said that was worthy of emulation and released the blessings of his royal throne to her.

Some of the beneficiaries including Mrs Felicia Unegbu; Susana Agbodike; Mr Ofia Felix; Ichie Gabriel Egwuenu; Samuel Izuba and Mr Vincent Eloka were all full of gratitude to the NGO for feeding and giving them drugs for their various health challenges. They prayed for God’s abundant blessings to the founder, Lady Nweto and her team.
