Paul Chukwuma Donates 150million To Catholic Diocese Of Awka.

A prominent Anambra All Progressive Congress Stalwart, Sir Paul Chukwuma has donated the sum of one hundred and fifty million to the Catholic Diocese of Awka.

Sir Paul made the donation at St. Patrick’s Cathedral In Awka during the 40th Priestly Anniversary celebration of the Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after the donation, Sir Chukwuma who is also aspiring to contest in the 2025 Anambra Governorship election stated the donation was part of contributions to the society and also his way of expressing gratitude to God for his numerous blessings upon his family.

He pointed out that the gesture has no political affiliation and urge other prominent Anambarians to help the society and support the church to grow.

Sir Paul congratulated Bishop Ezeokafor on his 40th priestly anniversary and commended his dedication and impactful leadership especially his remarkable role in championing true christianity through fostering unity, and peaceful coexistence amongst others denomination in the State and pray that God will bless and grant him long life of good health of mind and body to continue leading the church in practical examples of Christ.

Bishop Ezeokafor in his message, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Awka Diocese for their love and promise of continuos.

He went further to thanked the top government functionaries and other dignitaries for celebrating with him and assured unwavering commitment in building on the examples of Christ and establishing more positive life transforming Initiatives that will continue propagate unity and progress of the church and society at large.

ANN also gathered that the donation was for the construction of a proposed retreat centre of the diocese located at Isiagu community in Awka South Local government area of the state.

The proposed new retreat centre which is billed to accommodate a chapel, grotto, retreat quadrangle, rectory, Ultra modern kitchen, accommodation and auditorium is also expected to commence as a landmark project of the 40th priestly anniversary of the bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor.

The Senator representing Anambra central senatorial district, Senator Victor Umeh, also donated the sum of five million naira for the project.
