The kidnappers, who abducted three members of staff of Innoson Motors from his motorcycle showroom in Nnewi Town, Anambra State have demanded 150 million naira for their release.

However, they may now be in a dilemma on what to do with the victims after Innoson boss, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, snubbed them over demand of such amount of money as ransom for the release of the staff.

Recall the victims were kidnapped and kept in captivity in an unknown place after they struck last week Tuesday at Innoson motorcycles’ showroom along the Owerri Road, Nnewi in Anambra State.

A reliable source confirmed that Innoson Motors boss, Chief Chukwuma was said to have snubbed the kidnappers and made it clear that he will not pay a dime for the release of the victims because it will encourage the kidnappers to continue to kidnap his workers.

The feeling is that the decision may discourage kidnappers from kidnapping Innoson Motors workers in future because it will be a waste of time to venture.

According to sources, the kidnappers had been calling the families of the victims asking them to call the Innoson boss to pay ransom, but they were told that Innoson Motors boss said he will not give them a dime and it was better for them to release the victims and look elsewhere to make money.

It was said that they may be begging the Innoson Motors boss to pay the ransom as they may have invested huge sums of money during the operation. It was not certain if Chief Chukwuma will change his mind and pay any ransom following his adamant position.

Meanwhile, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed in a statement in Awka, the state capital, that the Anambra Joint Security Forces are on the offensive for possible rescue of the three abducted victims and arrest the abductors.

He said that the abduction took place around 6:45 pm at Innoson motorcycles’ showroom along the Owerri Road, Nnewi. According to him, the Police Command will work with information obtained from the scene in the ongoing rescue operations.

So far, no arrest has been made and the victims are still in captivity.
