Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Senator Dr Tony Nwoye has empowered over 250 constituents from Anambra East and West Local Government Areas in various entrepreneurial skills as well as gift items.
The empowerment, in partnership with National Directorate of Employment (NDE), attracted locals across all Political wards in Anambra East and Anambra West Local Government Area.
The items donated by the lawmaker included 25 motorcycles to one beneficiary per ward, a brand new Toyota Corolla Car, 90 Grinding Machines, 100 Sewing Machines and a cash grants to over 50 Indigent women across all the political wards in Anambra East and West Council Areas to support their entrepreneurial ventures.
Speaking during the event at his country home, Nwoye, represented by his Campaign DG in Anambra East, Hon Mandela reaffirmed his commitment towards the betterment of the people of the Anambra North senatorial district.
“This empowerment, the second of its series after the January 7, 2024 edition, is for the two local Government areas of Anambra East and West. Other Local Governments will follow later,” he added.
Also speaking, Labour Party Chairman for Anambra East Local Government Area, Chief Chidi Chinwuba, praised Senator Nwoye’s relentless efforts in executing various empowerment programmes for the good people of the zone.
“On behalf of the party, I express deep appreciation for the senator’s consistent focus on bettering the lives of his constituents,” he stated.
In his remark, Chief Anigbata described Senator Nwoye as true servant of the people who continuously gives back through various development initiatives.
