A business mogul and philanthropist, High Chief Emeka Hamilton Ezeonu (Ikemba Nnobi) and his wife, Dr Thelma have thrown a Christmas party to over 500 children in Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
In a statement, Dr (Mrs) Ezeonu disclosed that the party aimed at spreading love and happiness this Christmas period, was in the spirit giving back to society,
Chairman, Idemili South Council Area, Mrs Amaka Obi commended Dr Ezeonu for celebrating Christmas with the kids and described the event as one of its kind.
She urged the affluent in society to always remember the less privileged ones and to emulate the kind gesture of the Ezeonus.
Obi also commended the administration of Governor Charles Soludo for tackling infrastructure deficit in Anambra State.
On his part, Chief Ezeonu said the event was their way of giving back to society and putting smiles on the faces of the people and called on others to use the Christmas season to share love as seen in the life of Jesus Christ.
Earlier in her speech, Dr (Mrs) Ezeonu said that Christmas was a season of sharing and so was prompted to organize the Christmas fiesta to give the children a memorable celebration.
The Chairman of Ifiteogbeadiji Nnobi, Mr Fabian Izuegbunem, traditional kingmaker of Nnobi, Chief John Ojukwu Isiana, Chief Ifechukwu Okeke, among others praised Dr. Ezeonu for her generosity.
Some of the children who attended the party were Benjamin Ezeoke and Esther Obi who thanked God for such an event and prayed God to bless the Ezeonus abundantly.
Dances, cutting of Christmas cake, and presentation of school bags to all the children featured at the event which took place at Umuezeobi Ifiteogbeadiji Hall, Ebenesi Nnobi.
