A yet-to-be-identified man was caught on CCTV stealing an SUV parked by its owner at Otta Village in Oraukwu,Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.

According to a trending video , the SUV owner had parked the car in an open space while attending the usual Otta meeting in Oraukwu.

In the footage, another unidentified man driving a Toyota Camry (commonly referred to as the “pencil” model) was seen driving past the parked SUV. Meanwhile, the thief loitered around the area, walking up and down near the vehicle. A few minutes later, the driver of the Camry returned to the scene and stopped to speak briefly with the thief, who was standing a short distance from the SUV. After their conversation, the Camry driver left, and the thief walked straight to the SUV, entered the vehicle, and drove off immediately.

What remains unclear and puzzling is how effortlessly the thief gained access to the SUV and drove it away, sparking questions about whether the car had been properly locked by its owner.

The SUV owner is appealing to the public for any useful information that could help identify and apprehend the culprits.
